We were tasked with reviving the Universal Monsters brand to attract a new audience. Our challenge was to bridge the gap between classic black-and-white monster films and modern social media to keep them relevant. Our solution? We created a new persona: the ultimate monster movie stan, who is chronically online. Through having some fun, leaning into trends, and even getting a little weird, we made these monsters truly timeless.
And the results speak volumes. TikTok views surged by an incredible 826.8% in just a year, including a viral video amassing over 3 million views. Across all platforms, including Facebook and Instagram, total engagements increased by 34.7%. Plus, we gained an impressive 48,000 new followers organically. In short, we revitalized these classic creatures for a new generation—and enjoyed every minute of it.
